Will you help secure Mornington Hall?
Please donate to help with all the extra costs we are incurring due to vandalism at your well-loved community hall.
Unfortunately, there have been a series of criminal damage attacks on our building in recent weeks e.g. glue put into the front lock and padlocks, and paint poured all over the entrance.
Paying for replacement locks and CCTV is putting some strain on our finances. If you can donate a small amount, it would help us to make the hall more secure and cover the ongoing CCTV costs.
Mornington Hall operates at the heart of the Chingford community. It provides childcare, fitness classes, baby sensory, life drawing and many other valuable community activities.
It is also home to much-loved theatre group CADOS, who have kept local people entertained for over 75 years.
We lease Mornington Hall from the council and manage it on a voluntary basis. In recent years, we have invested over £20k to grow the hall as a community arts venue and theatre.
We urgently need to raise £1000 to make the hall secure and cope with the ongoing costs connected with vandalism.
If Mornington Hall closes, many activities which enhance the health and wellbeing of local people could be put at risk. But with your support, we can keep our beautiful venue open for all to enjoy.
All donations go to CADOS, a registered charity (no. 280809). Should we exceed the funds needed for security, your support will help maintain Mornington Hall for the community.
