Story
The LFC Foundation and Right To Play are standing Side by Side, using the power of sport and play to transform the lives of vulnerable children at home and away. Our partnership enables children in the worlds most deprived communities to access our innovative and high-impact programmes in safe and secure play spaces.
Having launched in 2019, the partnership has a number of programmes running in communities across both Liverpool and Bangkok. To date, the Side By Side programmes have supported almost 21,000 participants.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit vulnerable children, including those in the Side By Side programmes, especially hard. It is estimated that a staggering 94% of the worlds student population have been adversely affected by COVID-19 school closures. 1.6 billion children are still out of school and at extreme risk of dropping out permanently.
Which is why this season we have set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £150,000. This would allow us to open a new Side by Side programme in a community that needs it the most. A new programme to help children rise above the adversity caused by the pandemic and allow them to learn, lead and succeed.
So we're calling on the LFC family to help us reach this target. Just £2 from you, can mean a brighter future for a child who needs it most. We can reach this £150,000 target. We can open a new Side by Side programme and change the lives of thousands more children.
Side by Side, we can do anything.
