Funding Neuro (along with a number of other Charities) have funded a Great Ormond Street Hospital CART T-Cell Therapy trial to provide hope to those with DIPG!

Funding Neuro wants more than one trial in the UK and we are also raising money to purchase an Insightec Focussed Ultrasound device for use in a joint DIPG/Glioblastoma trial in Dundee under Mr Kismet Hossain Ibrahim, Consultant Neurosurgeon at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee.

This device together with a chemical called ALA, provided by SonALAsense, an American company has been proven in trials in the USA to safely reduce the size of cancer tumours within a patient's skull, without the need for surgery!
