Story
Space @ The Broomhouse Hub (formerly The Broomhouse Centre) has been supporting local people for over 30 years, helping them to have an enriching involvement in the community. It functions as an effective community hub; develops social enterprise, supports employability and promotes volunteering. The local community now benefit from the new building, which enables more people to be supported and a wider range of issues to be addressed than before.
We support a number of projects in key areas such as:
Physical and Mental Wellbeing for our diverse communities.
Community Care including support for adult carers.
Education & Training for all ages helping school leavers discover a career and encouraging those excluded from employment get the skills and confidence they need to find work
Supporting Young People, including young and young adult carers and befreinding projects for children in kinship care or who are affected by parental drug or alcohol addiction.
Helping Vulnerable Adults especially The Beacon Club and Vintage Vibes which help older isolated people make social connections and provide respite day care for people with dementia.
Our vision remains strong, which is to nurture, support and inspire, so that lives are fuller, potential is fulfilled and community connections flourish.
Space @ The Broomhouse Hub is extremely grateful for any donations that we receive.
All money raised comes directly to the Hub. £5 buys a meal for a hungry child. £10 supports a visit to The Beacon Club for an older person with dementia. £20 covers the cost of a befriending visit, providing a friend and support for a child affected by parental addiction.
Thank you in advance for your support. By choosing to make a donation, you'll be making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people and vulnerable adults.
