Story
After closely monitoring the evolving situation of COVID-19 and the governments announcement on School lockdown, we have decided that the physical premises of The Sparkle Foundation in Malawi will be closed. Whilst the building will not be open for our routine operation, our school is not closed; we shall continue educating through:
- Home learning kits
- Delivering fifty emergency care packages across the seventeen villages
- Food will be supplied for one-hundred households over the next month
- Provide emergency medical care
- Support our local COVID-19 isolation medical clinic with resources and transport
- Deliver COVID-19 awareness campaigns to rural villages
Sparkles next steps
We are waiting for further direction from government about NGOs and in what capacity we are able to keep working and operating . Managers have been given all the resources to be able to work from home. We have a 24-hour emergency hotline to help those needing support during this difficult period . We will be supporting Matawale Health Clinic with their services and if required, Sparkle will be used as an isolation centre for Covid-19.
How can you help?
Gift £15 to buy a care package to feed one of our children for the month. The more money we raise, the more children we can feed. We have 300 homes to provide food to each month.
