Story

The National Garden Scheme has been inviting people to open their gardens to raise funds for nursing and health charities for almost 100 years. During that time, thanks to the generosity of garden owners who open their gardens, volunteers and visitors we have given away over 74 million pounds to our beneficiaries. Charities which include Macmillan Cancer Support, Hospice UK, Marie Curie, Parkinson's UK, Carers Trust and the Queen's Institute of Community Nursing.

You can show your support of our nurses by making a donation to the National Garden Scheme. Your generosity will help us to make a real difference.

I love the National Garden Scheme which has been the most brilliant supporter of Queens Nurses like me. It was founded by the Queens Nursing Institute (now known as the Queen's Institute of Community Nursing) which makes me very proud. - Liz Alderton, Queen's Nurse
