Each day, more news of the horrors facing the people of Ukraine reaches us. Its easy to feel powerless.
But you CAN make a difference to lives of Ukrainian families who have had to flee their country and have now been welcomed in the UK
Since the war began, some 12 million people have been forced to flee their homes, with over 80,000 arriving in the UK. Most are women and children, without relatives of friends here, lacking financial support and with limited or no English.
From the start of the war, our team of dedicated volunteers at HealthProm has been doing all we can to help new Ukrainian refugees in London. With free English language classes (both online and offline), information on education and healthcare, peer group support, mental health services and help finding work, we aim to provide hope and security for those who have endured so much.
We have already helped more than 200 Ukrainian women through our project. But the demand is much higher and we now have more than 600 women registered on our database, with requests for more English classes, more support with finding employment and help with accessing local services both for themselves and for their children. Until now, all our work with Ukrainians in the UK has been done entirely by volunteers and without any funding.
Right now we need your help to recruit more volunteers, pay for more English classes and to organise regular activities for Ukrainian refugees in and around North London, so they feel welcomed and at home in a new country. We are working with Islington and Camden Councils to ensure a coordinated approach .

-£10 could cover the cost of an information pack, signposting new arrivals to the help and support available
-£25 could pay for one group session, enabling Ukrainian refugees to come together in a safe and welcoming space
-£50 could pay for a counselling session, providing support for those traumatised by war
-£100 could cover the costs of specialist legal and immigration advice for one family
