Orbis is a charity working to eliminate avoidable blindness. Shockingly, 75% of all visual impairment can be prevented or treated. That means that nearly 190 million adults and children would be able to see today if they had received surgery, treatment or glasses.

Story

Sarah Mortimer is taking on the English Channel!

Sarah is currently in Dover with her crew who will accompany her across the channel (in the comfort of their boat the Louise Jane).

This is Sarahs second attempt at the challenge. In 2019 she made the same journey to Dover; however poor weather conditions didnt allow her to even get her big toe wet. So, after years of training, a lot of sweat and tears, shes back and its on. The weather is on her side!

Sarah is an inspiration and proof that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything. Many, many people have supported Sarah in so many ways. Although Sarah has put all the hard work in, I know she wouldnt have made it to this point without this phenomenal support.

She has raised 20K for Orbis over the last six years!
