Story

Team Moto will take on the Big Battlefield Bike Ride in 2022, in support of Help for Heroes!

From 13th - 17th June the team will cycle the entire British sector of the Western Front. Covering over 350 miles in 5 days, the team will pay their respects at the battlefields of the Somme, visit Flanders and take in Compiegne, where the Armistice was signed.

In 2020 & 2021 BBBR had to be cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. In 2022 Help for Heroes and Team Moto need your support more than ever to continue to support wounded veterans and their families to recover and get on with their lives.

Moto's team of super cyclists are:

Alex Shackleton, Darren Spruce, David Agnew, James Gunn, Jason Broddle, Jason Vance, Leigh Burns, Matthew Haywood, Olivia Allen, Paul Butters, Phillip Wdowikowski, Sue Lee-Stokoe and Sumit Gupta.

Many of the team were due to take part in 2020, and cannot wait to fundraise, train and complete this grueling but worthwhile challenge. They have already raised £40,116.15 towards their £60,000 target on the now-expired Virgin Money Giving page.

Some of the team have already taken part in a 150km training weekend through the Yorkshire Dales - take a look at how they got on in the Photo Gallery!

Any donation is appreciated hugely by the team, and means that Help for Heroes can continue to support our Veterans and their families to recover and get on with their lives.

Thank you.
