To commemorate DDay76, for the first time ever, we are making The Pegasus Bridge Show available to watch online.
The Pegasus Bridge Show! was written and performed by former Oxf and Bucks LI Officer, Michael Bawtree, exclusively for the charity in 2008.
Several hundred people, including Veterans of the operation and their relatives, enjoyed live performances at RMA Sandhurst, Victory Services Club in London, Royal School in Bath and Oxford Town Hall. The performance in Oxford was attended by Hollywood Actor, Richard Todd who landed by parachute close to the bridge on D-Day and later went on to play the role of Major John Howard in the film, 'The Longest Day'.
The Pegasus Bridge Show! will be available in two parts:
Part 1 - Crossing the Channel: 1066 to 1944 (45 mins) - watch it from 5th June 2020
Part 2 - The Epic Story of Pegasus Bridge (45 mins) - watch it from 6th June 2020
We are making this fantastic show available to watch for FREE as part of our remit to honour the heroes who spearheaded the entire D-Day invasion with the assault on Pegasus and Horsa Bridges but we invite you to make a donation to The Veterans Charity in return for enjoying the show.
