In March 2017, staff at ScotRail overwhelmingly voted for MND Scotland to become their new charity partner for three years and raise money and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) through our 'journey to a cure.'

The funds raised by the partnership are helping MND Scotland to fund vital research in Scotland to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease; fund the practical, emotional, and financial support MND Scotland gives to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease and; raise awareness together, which will provide a valuable legacy.

Staff from the ScotRail Alliance have taken part in range of events, including sponsored skydives, abseils from the Forth Rail Bridge, zipsliding across the Clyde, walking on fire and broken glass, and dress down days.

Collections have been held across the network and passengers have donated via collecting cans placed at stations.

By allowing our staff to take the driving seat, we have seen a huge uplift in engagement and funds raised.

We have been overwhelmed at the generosity of our customers and our people. So much so, that the partnership has been extended for a further two years and we can't wait to see what we can achieve together.
