Story

December 2021

The last few months of 2021 were always going to be a challenge for the NHS. The usual winter pressures, record numbers of patients waiting for treatment, high numbers of people going to A&E, flu and the delivery of hundreds of thousands of vaccinations meant that staff at UCLH were already facing an exceptionally busy end to a challenging year.

And now the Omicron variant. With news changing day by day, hour by hour, one thing will remain the dedication, compassion and kindness staff at UCLH who will continue to do what they do best, provide the best possible care to those who need them. After 18 months of working flat out, in the toughest conditions any of us have ever known, UCLH staff need your support.

You can help us care for those who are caring for us in these uncertain times. By donating to our staff emergency Covid-19 fund, you can help us support staff who will, like always, be putting patients first this winter.

Thank you every donation, and message of support, makes a difference.
