Story

This October Jack & Jill are asking for your support for #UptheHill20 to give us a push up that big fundraising hill for Jack & Jill this year, due to COVID - 19.

Gather a small group of family or friends together, pick a local hill, make a date in October and ask fpr a donation of 16 from each adult taking part. That magic number funds 1 hour of home nursing care for an extra special child locally.

Monies raised locally, stays locally and will help Jack & Jill provide home nursing and end-of-life support to the 362 children under our wing across Ireland today. These are children up to five years of age, with complex medical and life threating conditions. We are hoping to extend our age range to 6 years through a pilot scheme already underway in 2020 and hopefully into 2021, with a little help from our friends supporting fundraising initiatives like #UptheHill20.

Covid-19 may have flattened our fundraising calendar this year, but our service marches on as we keep going, just like the families we support. While we still have a 250,000 fundraising gap to fill this year, we are well on our way to filling that pail and keeping that pilot scheme going.

Every 16 donated funds one hour of home nursing care.

About the charity
