For the first time, United World Colleges Great Britain (UWCGB), the National Committee supporting the selection and attendance of students at UWCs around the world, is able to fund a full scholarship enabled by our own UWC community in this country. Thank you!

Thanks to alumni, families of British UWC students and friends of UWC across the country we are now working to build a more substantial scholarship fund to offer a 100% funded scholarship every year for a student applying from a disadvantaged background.

We do occasionally receive ad-hoc fully-funded scholarships through support from major UWC International initiatives, such as the Shelby Davies "Dare to Dream" programme, but we believe it is vital for UWCGB to develop and sustain a scholarship fund so that we can reliably promote a UWC education to all British applicants, whatever their background or circumstances.

With your help we have now exceeded the 2021 target of £20,000. we have raised £21,000 in 2021. Now we must raise the same again in 2022 and double it as we look towards a second scholarship for the 2023 entry. Please help to spread the news of our ongoing appeal, by telling others what we are doing, so that we can continue to grow this fund for future years.
