Story

We have all watched as the terrible events unfolded in Ukraine; many have wanted to help - as we see from the amount of people who registered for the Home for Ukraine Scheme. The government has been slow in processing applications, but we are now starting to see a steady stream of Ukrainian refugees coming into our area.

Although the Homes for Ukraine scheme offers some small financial support whilst they get settled, many have arrived with nothing and need a helping hand. Others have come through the family route and are relying solely on the kindness of family members, many of whom are struggling themselves to make ends meet.

We have been approached by a number of people who need a bit of support and so we decided to set up this campaign, so that we could get together some funding that we could then give out as small grants to refugee families. Please help spread the word.
