Green Oaks is raising money to develop the outside areas at both Oakwood Infants and Greenfields Junior to create a new outdoor learning environment that will benefit every Green Oaks child. This outdoor learning environment will be a special place to learn with friends, connect with nature and improve wellbeing. Here are just a few examples of our ambitious landscaping vision:

- Develop our woodland areas into a forest school learning experience where children are able to investigate and explore our natural world.

- Internal courtyards to be transformed into places for quiet reflection and open-ended play.

- Creation of outdoor reading spaces to cuddle up with a favourite read or share a story with a friend.

- Ponds at both sites to become environmental learning areas.

We know that outdoor learning is hugely beneficial. It enables children to develop their physical and emotional health as well as providing opportunities to nurture creativity and imagination and enrich the curriculum through appreciating, understanding and interacting with the natural environment.
