Story

Every year CP Teens UK holds the 'Sponsored Wobble' - an accessible and inclusive 5k challenge. Whether you walk, 'wobble' or wheel, everyone is welcome and finishes together.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the South Sponsored Wobble (2nd May - Windsor) has had to be cancelled, and the North Sponsored Wobble (9th May - Chatsworth) has had to be postponed (new date TBC).

However! To make up for this and as a warm up to the postponed North Sponsored Wobble, CP Teens UK brings you the Virtual Wobble!

VIRTUAL WOBBLE:

Whether it's 10 steps in your back garden, 100 meters down your road, or even a 5k cycle in your local park (if it's safe for you to do so and it meets government regulations!), you are invited to take part at 11am on Saturday 9th May!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Choose your distance and where. ALL mobility aids welcome and ALL gym equipment welcome, e.g. treadmill, rower. ALL distances welcome from steps, to metres, to kilometres! Whatever your choice of challenge, it MUST meet government regulations - i.e. if not in your home or garden, please DO NOT drive somewhere to participate or go over an hour!

2. On Saturday 9th May at 11am, do your challenge and post a photo or video of you doing it on social media (Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram) along with:

I am doing *your personal distance/challenge* as part of the CP Teens UK Virtual Sponsored Wobble! #CPTeensUK #VirtualWobble "

As part of your post, give people the option to sponsor by adding "You can sponsor me, and lots of other young disabled people, doing the challenge here:" You can either:

a) Ask people to donate on to this page

OR

b) Setup your own JustGiving page by going to www.justgiving.com/cpteensuk and click "Fundraise For Us" > Organised Event > Virtual Wobble

3. We will add together the steps, meters and kilometres on the evening of Saturday 9th May. To be included, please ensure before 6pm that a) you tag CP Teens UK in your posts (@CPTeensUK on all platforms) and b) your posts are set to public otherwise we can't see it. If you wish for your post to remain for your friends and family but you wish to be included in the total, please email your completed distance to office@cpteensuk.org before 6pm.

4. There will be 2 prizes:

a) Longest distance

b) Most inspirational effort

Let's get wobbling!
