Will you Walk 3K per Day in May ?
May is National Walking month, and our Charity Manager, Louise John will be putting her best foot forward this May, in a bid to engage with colleagues, learn more about the Trust and how Caring Minds can support teams and services.
The challenge is to walk 3k per day across the month of May, perhaps you can walk around the block before of after work each day, or get some lunch time steps in, however you plan to do it, walking has many benefits, it is good for your heart, can help you lose weight, can lower risk of dementia, gives you more energy, help increase your vitamin D intake on a sunny day, ultimately walking makes you happy and by adding walking to your daily routine, it may help manage stress and anxiety.
By taking time out to walk with us this May, you can help improve your own wellbeing, raise awareness of the Trust charity and generate funds for Caring Minds
If you are willing and able, please join us on our mission to walk our way through May, donate £3.00 to our campaign and encourage others to join in, donate and get walking.
Louise will be inviting colleagues to join her each Wednesday for a Walk n Talk and will be meeting at different sites across the trust, to completer her 3k, please check out colleague briefing and social media for weekly locations and times, or email bsmhft.fundraising@nhs.net
