Story
Did you know that, for Indian Christians, Covid-19 is only half the story?
Extremist propaganda and lies mean that they are attacked, discriminated against, rejected and even murdered, just because of their faith.
Vinita was savagely attacked in her own home by extremists. They burst in, shouting "Where are the Christians? We don't want Christians here!"
"I felt that today we would not be spared", says Vinita (name changed for security). Miraculously, she and other Christians all survived but, at the hospital, doctors refused to treat them because of their faith. Thankfully, local Open Doors partners were able to get them medical care and are helping Vinita's family during Covid-19, as they lost their livelihood in lockdown.
This summer, across the country, we'll be journeying with women like Vinita as we walk to help provide urgent Covid relief aid for Christians in India.
Every £60 we fundraise could give urgent Covid relief aid and help with medical costs to a victim of violence or a believer who has lost their livelihood through the pandemic.
Thank you for supporting us as we walk with them.
In the unlikely event that more money is raised overall than is needed, any excess funds will help strengthen persecuted Christians in other areas where there is urgent need.
