Organised by Suffah FoundationOur water wells are usually installed for the benefit of a poor or vulnerable family. Water wells, however, serve a community and provide an essential source of clean and safe water for dozens of households.
To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Haji Khalid Alim Khan, lovingly known as Khalid Bhai by hundreds in the community left this temporary world to return to The Almighty. May Allah grant him the highest of place in Jannat Ul Firdaus. A loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. The kindest of gentlemen, Khalid Bhai held the room with his wonderful presence. He made children and adults smile and always offered kind words to everyone around him.
Khalid Bhai was a pillar of the local community, and helped with charity work, raising funds for various causes. He put others before himself time and time again. He would drop everything to help anyone in need regardless of day or time. He was a truly kind and gentle person who is missed dearly by all.
In memory of our beloved Khalid Bhai we are fundraising to deliver Sadaqh Jariyah (ongoing charity).
On the authority of Sad ibn Ubadah (RA) who said, I asked, O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is best? He [Peace be upon Him] replied, Providing water (Ibn Majah).
We want to continue his legacy of helping the needy. We are aiming to raise funds to build water wells for the less fortunate in Tanzania.
Access to clean water can transform the lives of a whole community by serving in excess of a 1,000 people. They are often located in arid areas where water is particularly scarce. The wells are wide and deep, making them dependable during all seasons. These water wells provide enough clean water for families, livestock and crops.
We ask Allah Almighty to grant these water wells as Sadaqah Jariyah for our brother and may they bring blessing upon everyone who can donate. We pray that Khalid bhais grave is made into a garden of Paradise and that he is reunited with loved ones who have sadly also left us.
