Since the 12th century the parish church of St Teilo has been at the center of daily life for the communities of Llantilio Pertholey, Mardy and the adjacent rural hamlets. Currently the church is facing many challenges, but is still a central part of the community for a large number of people. .

Story

On the 31st October 1921 the preaching cross in St Teilo's Churchyard, Llantilio Pertholey was dedicated as the parish war memorial, remembering those who died during the First World War. Following the Second World War more names were added to the memorial.

Over the years we have been fortunate to have been given photo's and letters written by these men and the Chapel of Remembrance will enable us to bring these men to life so that they are more than names on the memorial.
