Story

Almost two years ago, Willie Gregg, of the Harbour Bar, Portrush, promised his mum, 'Wee Joan', that he would arrange a charity dog walk to help raise funds for local charities. Wee Joan was very disappointed after several postponements due to the pandemic.

Willie has organised the walk for SUNDAY 19th SEPTEMBER, but sadly, it's now going to be in Wee Joan's honour as she is no longer with us. The walk will go from the RNLI Portrush Lifeboat Station on Kerr Street, over to Ramore Head, and along Landsdowne to the Arcadia, returning by the same route. All funds raised will go towards the Northern Ireland Children to Lapland and Days to Remember Trust.

Willie says, 'I know she will be keeping an eye on her dog walk from above and I look forward to meeting everyone and seeing you all off from the Lifeboat Station on Kerr Street'.

You can donate directly here, or those taking part can create their own fundraising page, by clicking on the 'Start Fundraising' button above. On behalf of the charity and Willie Gregg, please accept our sincerest thanks.

About the charity

We are an independent Northern Irish charity who give terminally ill, life limited and deserving children a magical day by taking them to visit Santa at his home in Lapland. For many of these special children it is sadly the last trip they will make. Charity Commission NI no. 103911
