Story

Come along to The WheelnWalk sponsored inclusive walk taking place at Cannon Hill park in Birmingham on the 21st March 2020 and support Birmingham registered charity Cerebral Palsy Midlands (CPM).

Following the success of last years event, the sponsored walk supporting inclusion is back for another year. The WheelnWalk sponsored walk is a great family event taking place at Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham on Saturday 21st March 2020 and we want you to come along and support CPM who will be teaming up with several other charities based in the Midlands to successfully run this exciting event.

Whether you are on your bike, wheelchair, scooter or on foot, come along and take part in what is set to be a long and exhausting but fun walk around the park which will start at 11am after an inspiring song and dance warm up by ELM's Music Group Brandhall Community Choir and qualified Wheelchair Dance Instructor Helen Mason from Freewheelin. The theme for this years inclusive walk is hats and wigs so show up in your favourite hat and wig for a chance to win a prize.

Here are last years Video Highlights

Everyone who completes the walk by doing their very own personal best will receive chocolate and be given a certificate and medal to reward their efforts and incredible achievement.

This is a massive opportunity not only for the community to come together and take part in a family-friendly event but also the charities who have organised this event which will raise awareness and spread their message of promoting inclusivity in and around Birmingham. This is a huge milestone for the charities who have been working for years to support individuals with disabilities and break down barriers regarding the public perception of people with disabilities and bringing the community together to support and take part in this spectacular event.
