Story

For World Porridge Day 2020 on 10th October, we are inviting you to donate mugs of porridge to children born into poverty, at school Porridge Clubs. Whether you are planning to buy porridge or enjoy porridge on your own or with friends and family (in line with national or local Government restrictions on social distancing), please consider making a donation.

A mug of porridge costs just 7p so for every £7 raised on this page, our partners will provide 100 mugs of porridge to children at school, so they don't have to work, scavenge or beg on the streets for food and can attend school safe in the knowledge they will be fed.

Brenda was supported by school Porridge Clubs in her senior years at primary school and she is now an Advocate at the High Court of Kenya. She says:

I learnt through this project that a little support goes a long way. Supporting people gives them hope; where there is hope, people can dream; and when people freely dream, they get vision and purpose which gives them a chance to be something.

Please help children like Brenda by donating whatever you can afford this World Porridge Day. Thank you.
