Hello my name is Skoda and I am currently at Animal Rescue Cumbria's Wainwright shelter with my sister, Smart. Someone has reserved us and we are excited to meet our new family and spend time with them this Christmas in our new home. The staff and volunteers have looked after us well, and cuddled us when we were scared when we first arrived. My favourite place to sit is in Phoebe, my animal carers' hood! She carries me around everywhere. We made some cat and dog friends whilst we were here too.

As happy as we are to go to our new home, we are sad to leave our animal friends behind this Christmas. No animal deserves to spend Christmas - or any other time - in a rescue centre. They all deserve a loving home and a cosy bed to curl up in.

Over this Christmas, the staff here want to give all of the animals held in Shelter the best festive time with a tasty dinner, treats and toys to make their days more enjoyable.

Me and my sister are asking you to donate a meal or treat to a homeless animal this Christmas, please chose what you would like to donate from:

£5 can pay for a meal for two

£10 Jolly Feast with treats and toys

We have over 40 animals on site most days so you can donate as many meals or treats as you like -- there is no limit! Any extra monies raised will be put towards the cost of treats and food for the rest of the year.
