YMCA Derbyshire supports individuals who are at risk of facing homelessness. We enable people to achieve their potential and play a full part in society, regardless of their gender, race, ability, faith, past experiences or present circumstances.

We have been at the heart of Derbyshire's community since 1847. Our key services include:

Housing and Support for people who find themselves temporarily without a place to live. We have 193 bed spaces - 87 on site at our main Campus in which 34 units make up our Foyer accommodation supporting young people aged 16-25. We then have a further 106 units across our city and county including a mixture of self-contained and shared flats/houses.

Our support services include a whole host of health and wellbeing activities to get our residents mentally and physically active along with dedicated volunteering and work-based learning programmes.

Through our YMCA Key College, we provide a whole host of accredited training courses for young people aged 16-19 and up to 24 for those with an Education Health Care Plan. Predominately supporting young people where mainstream education has not been suitable. We support over 150 students each year.

Our charities vision is enabling young people and communities to thrive so they can fulfil their dreams; have a safe space to learn and grow; feel equipped to belong, contribute and prosper; and feel supported to be active in body, mind and spirit. Together we create places where people flourish.

Christmas is an especially difficult time for young people living with us as they are often estranged from their families.

This year, please help us to show these young people that they are thought of, worthy and celebrate as individuals. It is our aim to provide them with the delicious Christmas meal, a gift and activities to enjoy that they deserve. We are also raising funds for extra health and wellbeing provisions including therapeutic counselling, sports sessions and further opportunities at our very own allotments.
