Zac's Run

Organised by COSMIC

I am running 13 miles to reach our £100,000 target in memory of my sister, Sadie.

Cosmic supports children’s and neonatal intensive care at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals by funding life-saving equipment, ground-breaking research, specialist training, and providing vital support and accommodation for families during the toughest times.

Story

My name is Zac Salt, the older brother of Sadie Salt. Sadie tragically passed away in November 2020, two weeks away from her third birthday.

On 27th November 2022, on what would have been Sadie's 5th birthday, I will be running 13 miles around 3 of London's parks: Hyde Park, Regent's Park and Primrose Hill and finishing at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, where Sadie was cared for but sadly passed away.

I am doing so to raise money for Cosmic who support thousands of babies and children who arrive every year from across London and the Home Counties to be cared for in the specialist intensive care units at St Mary's and Queen Charlotte's hospitals. They are treated for complex and acute life threatening conditions, or in the neonatal units for extreme prematurity. Cosmic helps provide world-class care and services to give families hope and their children the best possible chance of survival.

When Sadie passed away, I came up with an idea to raise £100,000 for Cosmic and since then family, friends and people all around the world have taken on challenges or donated to Cosmic in Sadie's memory. So far we have raised a total of £97,000. I would love to reach £100,000, and by completing this run of 13 miles, I hope we will reach our goal!

Any donation will be very much appreciated!
