Story

We have launched a new challenge to celebrate the arrival of spring. Whether you are an avid walker, an energetic runner or even fancy yourself as a dazzling dancer, why not challenge yourself to hit 100 miles worth of your favourite activity for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. Incorporating movement and fundraising is a great way to start the month of March.

This is a physical challenge to reach the goal of 100 miles of your favourite activity in March. Measure your activity in terms of distance, such as swimming, jogging, skipping, and walking.

The winter months can be difficult, so having a spring in your step is a great way to embrace warmer weather, brighter mornings, and lighter evenings. Whatever your physical activity is, moving your body to improve your mind can have wonderful benefits for your overall wellbeing. From improved sleep, to balance and coordination, and even increasing the amount of blood and oxygen that reaches the brain, showing extra love and care goes a long way; 100 miles to be exact!

How do I participate?

You can brave the challenge on your own or as a team during March. The goal is 100 miles in March.

We have a dedicated team which can provide guidance and support on your fundraising journey.

Tips!

Make sure you consult a doctor should you have a pre-existing issue that may impact on taking part in the challenge.

Warm up - do gentle exercise to enable your body the best start.

Cool down - this aids recovery.

Refuel - eat nutritious foods to provide your body with nourishing vitamins and minerals.

The more the merrier- invite your family, friends and colleagues to get involved.

Measure the distance - use strava, a smart watch or google maps.
