The Power of 250 - Help Us Reach More Grandparents in Need

At Adopt A Grandparent, we’ve seen first-hand how powerful a simple conversation can be. This past year, thanks to supporters like you, we’ve connected hundreds of older people across the UK with volunteers for weekly one-to-one video calls that bring comfort, friendship and joy.

But we know there are still many more care homes and residents waiting to be reached - older people with no regular visitors, no family nearby, and far too few moments of connection in their week.

That’s why we’ve launched The Power of 250.

You can offer your support in the way that works best for you. Either a one-off donation or monthly instalments...

- £4.80 pays for one weekly video call between a grandparent and their volunteer

- £20 enables 1 lonely care home resident to receive 1 video call per week for 1 month.

- When £250 has been received (either a total donation or in instalments), you will be recognised as a Power of 250 Donor.

By donating £250, you’ll fund an entire year of weekly calls for one lonely older adult - helping them feel seen, valued and remembered. Every match is made with care, pairing each grandparent with a trained volunteer based on shared interests, culture or language. And every call takes place on a secure, AI-supported platform, giving families and care providers peace of mind.
