Story
This October, our UK and African Adventures in-country teams, together with friends and family are taking on the AA Team Challenge: Miles that Matter. Together, we’ll collectively cover a symbolic 4,155 miles, the distance from our Whiteley office in Hampshire to The Walk Centre in Nakuru, Kenya.
We will take part in activities such as walking, running, cycling and other forms of exercise to help us reach our 4,155 miles symbolic target. Every mile covered will bring us one step closer to our fundraising goal.
This challenge will raise funds for the African Adventures Foundation 2027 Food Security Programme, which provides daily nutrition support for children at our partner schools in Nakuru. The programme helps children start the day with porridge and receive a nutritious lunchtime meal, supporting their health, concentration, attendance and ability to learn. For many children, this support provides the only reliable food they receive each day.
Our campaign goal is to raise £10,000 towards the programme’s annual food security and delivery budget of £37,800. Funds raised will help cover both direct food provision and the operational costs needed to deliver the programme effectively.
Every donation will make a difference: £10 can provide around 66 meals, £25 can feed one child for a full academic year, and larger gifts will help us reach more children and keep the programme running reliably throughout the year.
Please support our challenge and help us turn every symbolic mile into meals that matter.
