Story
Since its inception in 2009, the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust has developed a long-term partnership with Project Peru and the local community of Las Laderas. Great local partnerships, relationships and employee experiences have been built along the way, and the Trust remains highly committed to continuing to make a positive and sustained impact on the lives of the people of Las Laderas. To date, this has included funding and assistance to build >100 homes housing >500 of the regions most vulnerable people; providing hundreds of Christmas hampers (an annual project), as well as donating IT and sports equipment for the local childrens refuge. The ABC Trust also funds the utilities of the existing local soup-kitchen which feeds 350 people everyday (an ongoing, long-term funding commitment).
Sadly, the shanty-town of Las Laderas remains in deep poverty and is expanding into increasingly tough and inhospitable terrain up the barren mountain-side. The community's single soup-kitchen can not cope with the growing level of need and hunger. So the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust has committed to funding the building of an additional new soup-kitchen in 2019 which will provide 100s of meals a week, bringing local employment for builders and community workers, and ensuring food-security for children and other vulnerable members of the community.
We hope you can help us to raise the £10,000 it will cost for us to provide this much needed facility. THANK YOU!!!
