But far from home, separated from everyone he loved, Abdul Salam was alone.

When chest pains struck, there was no family by his side. In a hospital bed, thousands of miles from the people who loved him most, Abdul Salam Khan passed away—alone.

Now, his elderly parents in Peshawar have made one heartbreaking request: "Please bring our son home."

His three young children in Lower Dir wait for their father to return. They don't yet understand that he'll never walk through the door again. But they deserve the chance to say goodbye. His parents, who raised him with love and sacrifice, deserve to lay their son to rest in the soil of his homeland.

But his family cannot afford the £3,000 needed for repatriation.
