No young person should feel alone. Break makes sure they don't. Through fostering, homes, mentoring and wellbeing support, we help children and young people in, around and leaving care build confidence, create strong relationships, and experience new opportunities. Simply put, we care differently.

Story

This demanding one-day trekking challenge will take in the summits of Pen-y-Ghent (694m/2,276 ft), Whernside (736m/2,415 ft) and Inglebor-ough (723m/2,372 ft), all in one circular route starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Make no mistake this is a tough challenge with up to 1700m of ascent, 39.2km in distance, all to be accomplished within 12 hours. So, requiring an average walking speed of 3.5km/hr!

Peter Marron, Senior Partnerships and Project Manager at Break, said: “We are thrilled to be undertaking this event with a team of 40 people taking on this challenge with us. It will not be easy, but we all know the huge difference their support will mean to the young people we support. Sponsor us today please and help get us over the peak of their target and enable Break to walk alongside young care experienced people as long as they need us, when they need us.”
