Let’s bake the world a better place This Mental Health Awareness Week, the 13th to the 19th of May. Gather your practice, organisation or university together and let your staff know the help available to them.
Last year, 30 practices took part to raise an incredible £4000 for the architectural community, hosting their own events from Bake Off style competitions to cosy cake lunches, bringing their teams to together to take a break and have some cake!
Don’t just take our word for it! JM Architects joined Bake the World a Better Place in 2023, and had this to say:
“Bake the World a Better Place” is a key example of the ongoing social events the Care Group promote to encourage our colleagues to talk about mental health and break stigmas. ABS are also a useful resource of support specific to our profession and are an option if some alternatives are seen as too mainstream for a particular situation or individual.”
Register to pledge your commitment to fundraise for ABS and our mental health support services on during mental health awareness week. We’re asking for a small donation when you sign up. As a thank you we’ll mention your organisation on our website and send over a thank you gift, including a customised event recipe, to support your fundraising activities.
Encourage your team to have a break together and raise awareness of the mental health support available to them through us and other organisations.
Raise vital funds for our Welfare Support Services, to ensure that ABS can continue to be a foundation of support for the architectural community from now and until long into the future
£30 funds an annual student membership of AnxietyUK
£100 funds one hour of therapy for someone struggling with their mental health
£250 funds a wellbeing assessment with AnxietyUK
Join the pledge to be featured on our website and be sent a thank you gift.
As a thank you for pledging to join Bake the World a Better Place, we will send you some extra special goodies to make your baking event the best it can be.
