Help Action Breaks Silence reach the summit! This September, seven of our supporters will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, in aid of Action Breaks Silence.
Action Breaks Silence works to create a world free from fear of sexual and gender based violence and so far, has educated and empowered nearly 60,000 women, girls and boys around the world through its workshops, free of charge.
Gender-based violence is a global problem. In the UK each year, approximately 585,000 women are raped or sexually assaulted in England and Wales alone, and two women die at the hands of their intimate partner every week.
In India, 848 women or girls are either harassed, raped or killed every single day. And in South Africa, rapes are estimated to take place every 26 seconds and it is thought that almost half of all women will be raped in their lifetime.
Please do contribute in any way you can, and every donation will be gratefully received.
