Story

They're off! Please support our fantastic team who have signed up to take part in the RideLondon-Essex 2024 challenge, cycling an incredible 100 miles to raise money for Acacia Family Support.

Acacia Family Support offers help to mums and families who are suffering from pre and post-natal depression and anxiety. We believe that no mum/dad should suffer alone. We offer support through one-to-one befriending, group work sessions using CBT, telephone support, and practical help in the home.

Here is what one of our mums said:

I don’t really know where to start with expressing how much you have helped me.

From the very first phone call to the continued support, warmth, and acceptance every week at centre – you have been invaluable.

I came to you at the most vulnerable and frightening times of my life – you have all offered nothing but love and strength.

The work that you do is invaluable and deserves to be recognised.

You saved me and for that I will be forever thankful.

£10 pays for a mum or dad to receive vital initial telephone support, to know they are not alone, and that Acacia will be supporting them

£25 pays for a family to receive some practical support at home for those struggling with day-to-day pressures and those most isolated

£50 pays for a mum or dad to receive one-to-one befriending sessions where they are able to offload, talk openly without judgement and share how they are feeling

£100 pays for a mum to attend a CBT group work course that allows them to meet others going through similar things, gain peer support and learn about how to make changes that will help their recovery to last

£250 pays for one mum's entire journey with Acacia, from making that sometimes very hard initial call for help right through until they are discharged having received one-to-one support, free creche provision, group work, practical support and small acts of kindness throughout their journey
