This year Ride London has changed - and now we can all do it! Instead of the usual ride down the Mall and, for some, up Box Hill, this year it's a sponsored ride anyone can do. 'My Ride London' lets everyone join in by cycling - or scooting, or rollerskating, or skateboarding, whatever your wheels - in a huge national fundraising event around 15th-16th August.
If you've got back on your bike under lockdown - or know someone who has - we're one of the charities joining in. The whole principle is 'any age, any wheels, any distance', so if you're a more serious cyclist, you can ride 19 miles, 46 miles, or 100 miles, and for more of a fun outing 'freecycle' whatever distance you like, on anything from a pennyfarthing to a toddler's tricyle, by yourself, in a (distanced) group or as a family. It can be a serious long-distance slog from here to the sea, or a quick ride round the park.
Why not give it a shot?! Your donations will help us support even more of Surrey's carers with advice, events, information and more. Thank you!
