Story
Every year, our school community comes together for the Activ8 Mile: a challenge that celebrates movement, determination and the belief that sport has the power to transform young lives.
Normally, the funds we raise go directly back into improving our own sports facilities. Physical activity matters deeply to us: it builds confidence, resilience, teamwork and wellbeing. But this year, we’re doing something different.
This year, we’re running for Mayfield School.
Mayfield provides specialist education for young people with complex needs, creating safe, nurturing environments where every child can thrive. One of the most important spaces in their school is a sensory room, a calm, carefully designed place that helps students regulate, feel secure, and engage with learning in ways that work for them.
By taking part in the Activ8 Mile this year, our students are choosing to look beyond their own community and support others. Every mile completed and every pound donated will go directly towards renewing one of Mayfield’s sensory rooms, helping to create a space that supports learning, wellbeing.
This event isn’t just about fitness. It’s about empathy. It’s about generosity. It’s about showing our students that sport can be a force for good far beyond our own school gates.
If you’re able to donate, you won’t just be supporting a sponsored mile – you’ll be helping to build a space where young people feel calm, safe and understood.
Thank you for supporting the Activ8 Mile, and for helping us turn movement into meaningful change.
