Story

The Carers Centre provides a range of peer-support groups and workshops for Adult Carers who live in the City of Brighton & Hove. These include coffee mornings and informative events on topics such as manual handling, first aid and coping with stress.

These activities empower carers to develop resilience around their caring role, form a positive peer support network and to enjoy a life outside of caring. Many carers who engage in our group activities comment that their physical and emotional wellbeing are improved simply by knowing that theyre not alone.

About the charity

The Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove has been working since 1988 to support all those in the city providing unpaid care to a family member or friend. We provide information, emotional support, the chance to meet others in similar situations and to have their say in developing local services.
