We exist to boost confidence, develop skills and improve an adult's understanding of their dyslexia. From our base in Maidenhead, we support the community through our helpline, webinars, support groups, and diagnostic assessments, which include courses for adults, employers, parents, and teachers.

Story

Did you know that 1 in 10 people in the UK are believed to be dyslexic?

Commonly associated with difficulties in spelling and reading, dyslexia is often a misunderstood, life-long and hidden condition that, without the right support, can significantly impact an individual's confidence, self esteem, education and employment outcomes.

Despite growing awareness about the condition, today, millions of adults in the UK remain un-diagnosed. They are struggling to understand why they struggled at school, and continue to struggle today, both in the workplace and everyday life. This needs to change...

The ADC approach

At the Adult Dyslexia Centre (ADC), we believe that everyone's experience of their dyslexia is unique. We know that dyslexia doesn’t disappear when school ends. For many adults, it continues to affect confidence, careers, relationships and make you feel alone. That’s why we’re here.

Each year our dedicated team of assessors and staff, support over 1,000 contacts through a range of services from our helpline, support groups and diagnostic assessments, to offering transformational advice for adults, employers, parents and teachers. But we can't do it alone.

Where will the money go?

All donations and funds raised through this event will provide vital support for our national helpline, courses, online support groups and core services, ensuring that more adults get the support they need and receive a live changing diagnosis.

What our Runners Say?

"I’m excited to be running the Windsor Half Marathon this year in support of ADC. ADC was my first trusteeship in 2020. I learned so much, worked alongside some truly inspiring people, and saw the charity navigate the added challenges that came with COVID. Now, I’m excited to give back and support the ongoing work they continue to do for the dyslexic community." - Emily (ADC Windsor Half Runner 2026)

"I’m very excited to be running the Windsor Half Marathon in support of the Adult Dyslexia Centre. This will be my first time working with ADC, and I’m already inspired by the incredible work they do for the dyslexic community. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and giving back to such a worthwhile cause and to run in my home time!" - Oliver (ADC Windsor Half Runner 2026)
