Story
This Christmas, AFC Wimbledon Foundation is calling on our community to help bring comfort, joy and a sense of normality to children who will be spending the festive season in hospital. For many young patients, Christmas can feel uncertain or overwhelming, and a simple gift can make an enormous difference, offering a moment of excitement, reassurance and connection at a time when they need it most. With your support, we hope to deliver presents that lift spirits on the wards at St George’s Hospital, Tooting, showing these children and their families that their local club is thinking of them and standing firmly by their side.
Your generosity will also help us grow our Club Together Bursary, which ensures that all children, regardless of their family’s circumstances, can access our programmes, from holiday camps and football sessions like Friday night Kicks, to mentoring and matchday experiences.
Every donation makes a real and tangible difference:
- £10 could help buy a present for a child in hospital
- £25 could help fund a ticket and travel to watch a match at Plough Lane
- £50 could support a young person to enjoy a few days at one of our football camps
- £100 or more could help train a future coach or referee, inspiring the next generation of positive role models in our community.
This year, we want to brighten Christmas for all children in our community but also help create opportunities that last well beyond the festive season. Together, we can make a meaningful and lasting difference to children across our community.
