Hi all, I'm Duane, COO of Affordable Food Stoke and I am running the Potters 'Arf in 2023 to raise some much needed funds in order to continue supporting our wonderful families, families struggling with the cost of living and struggling to put food on their tables, feed themselves and their children.
Here in our little corner of Stoke-on-Trent we have daily free food to anyone that needs it, we run a social supermarket, offer emergency food parcels to those most at risk, provide free exercise, health and wellbeing sessions, run a community lounge challenging social isolation, and run a bustling community café!
So much going on, and so much more to do...
...Which is why I am running! I am 43, middle aged, eat a little too much, drink a little too much, am overweight, and never ran a half marathon in my life! However, none of that will stop me from supporting our charity and doing something WAY out of my comfort zone to raise some money, so anything you can donate will really make a difference and help to keep me motivated!
