ReadOn is a Cancer Fund for Children school reading initiative which encourages pupils to read for enjoyment whilst helping to support local children and young people living with cancer. ReadOn will take place during the month of February and end on World Book Day (celebrating 25 years of WBD on 3rd March 2022). Reading can take place at home or in school (or both) and is a great way to introduce pupils to new authors and encourage them to visit the library. Pupils can set themselves personal challenges/goals ie to read a chapter a day or a book a week and ask their families and friends to sponsor them to raise funds for local children living with cancer across Northern Ireland. By picking up a book, reading and donating, pupils will help Cancer Fund for Children support families through a range of specialist services, including therapeutic short breaks at Narnia and Daisy Lodge in Newcastle.
