RCDP was established in 1998, operating two orphanages in the Kathmandu and Chitwan Valley areas in Nepal. AidCamps has worked with RCDP for over twenty years, building and refurbishing schools and orphanages.

On 26 August 2026, Nepal was hit by devastating flash floods, with water sweeping through villages with little warning. It is estimated that over 90,000 people have been impacted by the floods.

While RCDP and the communities it works with were not directly affected by the flooding, RCDP is supporting some of the resettlement activity, particularly children who have been left without family or homes, and any additional financial support they are able to secure will help them with this work.
