The Children’s Hyperinsulinism Charity raises funds to support families living in the UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland who have children with Congenital Hyperinsulinism (CHI), a rare disorder affecting approx 1:50,000 in the UK. We will hold conferences to support each other and meet other families living with CHI which is so important. These conferences will also include education sessions presented by experienced families and medical professionals. We will also support research into different aspects of CHI including genetics, blood glucose, new medication and repurposed medication. Thank you for supporting The Children's Hyperinsulinism Charity (CHC).

Story

Calling all CHI Superheroes!! Take part in our Festive Fundraiser and help The Children's Hyperinsulinism Charity to support more families and bring them together through our fun days and conferences. The money raised will help us to provide more resources, training days and projects. In addition, we are excited to bring you patient-led research enabling HI Children, Young Adults, and Families to get the answers they seek.

Congenital Hyperinsulinism (HI) is a rare and life-threatening condition where the body produces too much insulin, leading to severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

Our charity was founded in 2016 by HI parents determined to be there for other HI families so they would never be alone. Since then, we’ve been dedicated to supporting families, raising awareness, and supporting research to improve outcomes for children and young adults living with this condition.
