Story
Thrill-seeking participants have volunteered to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, whilst raising some pennies to support initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of our NHS colleagues.
It is Brighterway's mission to support our colleagues, by supporting their health and wellbeing, they are playing their part in enabling the delivery of high quality care of our patients.
Please support our Team to support Brighterway.
A message from Aisling:-
I have been working for Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust for over 2 years since I qualified as a nurse in 2021. Whilst studying I also completed many of my mental health placements here. I am now lucky enough to be working in a trainee therapist role and loving it.
In my spare time, I feel my best when I’m spending time outdoors and in particular I enjoy going on walks and wild swimming. Furthermore outside of work, I love to dance and I regularly go to classes for jazz and tap. When I am at home, I love to spend time with my dog and my hamster and I often do arts and crafts to relax.
A fun fact is - I have unusually tiny feet - I am hoping it wont effect my abseiling abilities!
I hope the money raised will have a positive impact on both my colleagues and our patients.
I’ve been up the spinnaker tower a couple of times and I was always in awe of those abseiling down. I never thought I would be brave enough, but I couldn’t miss out on this opportunity. I recently climbed over the O2 in London, so I am excited (although a little terrified!) for this new challenge.
I am looking forward to the excitement when I reach the bottom! – But I do also hope I will be able to appreciate the views on the way down!
