Students in Gaza live under an ongoing blockade and warlike conditions, with devastating consequences socially and economically, leaving thousands of them unable to afford a university education. Higher education should be for everyone, not just for those who can afford it.
Education is a lifeline for young Palestinians in Gaza whose lives have been fundamentally dictated by the blockade. Education provides them with hope and opportunities to control their future. But they cannot do this without your support: please enable them to achieve a university education and give them the means to shape their future.
We have partnered with the Islamic University and Gaza University to implement the Sindyan scholarship programme. Sindyan is more than just a scholarship, it is a journey that offers growth, development and windows of opportunity in several ways. It offers full tuition fees and a monthly living stipend for students throughout their undergraduate studies; and it provides an extensive and comprehensive training programme. Giving back to the community is a major part of Sindyan, with students designing and implementing projects to benefit their local community.
