Story
On 28/4/2019 a team representing Alive and Kicking will be taking on the gruelling feat of the Etape Loch Ness.
They'll be riding in support of ethical employment, vital health education and ball donations to communities facing disadvantage in sub-Saharan Africa.
Founded in 2004 by former Westminster School teacher Jim Cogan OBE, Alive and Kicking are a charity that establish, support and grow sport for good businesses - each of which makes beautiful, durable sports balls in Kenya, Zambia and Ghana. Their unique model and sustainable approach addresses real problems of poverty, unemployment and preventable disease in Africa. Each country centre provides full time ethical jobs for people from vulnerable backgrounds so they can lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Proceeds from sales and additional fundraising are then used to donate our sports balls across communities and to train local sports coaches and teachers to deliver vital health education. In other words they: MAKE. PLAY. LIVE.
Alive and Kicking are a small charity, making a big impact - so every penny counts!
