The History of Alcester Rock Academy
Alcester Rock Academy has been a part of many students' lives for the last 17 years. Formed in 2006 after the school achieved Music College Status, Rock Academy was and still is a community based initiative with members from schools and colleges from the local area.
Rock Academy provides a unique opportunity for guitarists, drummers, keyboard players and vocalists aged 10 to 18 to get together and learn to play in a band under the supervision of expert tutors.

The Rock Academy Studio Project
After many years the rock academy hut has come to the end of its life. This was a vital rehearsal and performance space for the musicians and performers. We are now fundraising to raise much needed funds that will be used to fit out a new space for them to use.

Our new space is an existing building that will need a significant amount of work completed (e.g soundproofing, insulating and decorating) to make it a suitable space for our students that will go on to provide our artists with a safe space that will allow them to grow as artists for many years to come.

Alcester Rock Academy have already raised £5’000 through their concerts and local performances but much more is needed to make this new space fit for purpose.
Our target is to raise a further £20’000 to give the Rock Academy a space they so desperately need and deserve.
