Working in Urgent & Emergency Care at QEH, I see the benefits that Gateshead Health Charity brings for our patients and staff every day.

The Charity have supported us to purchase new patient trolleys to better care for patients at increased risk of falls, a new ultrasound machine to improve diagnostics and vascular access, and with a new staff room on Level 4 of the Emergency Care Centre.

In 2025/26, we hope to purchase a new specialised camera for Same Day Emergency Care to diagnose eye problems, and to further improve break facilities for staff across the ECC.
